JARED CARNEY - FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Jared Carney is a filmmaker, producer, and art director from Fredericton NB and has been an explorer of the strange and grotesque ever since his first visit from his sleep paralysis demon as a child.

From shooting on black & white film to music videos and short films to pinhole photography, Jared adds a little weird to everything he does. His works includes a Stephen King adaptation which screened in Europe & at the World Horror Convention and award-winning "Dark and Stormy Night" which screened at festivals worldwide. One of his latest films "Monday" was met with huge success at the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge & received a personal nod from Troma Entertainment co-founder, Lloyd Kaufman.

The horror genre in particular has always piqued his interest & many of his influences stem from both classic & new-age horror cinema. He was a Features Writer for Horror-Movies.ca and has written for Numero Cinq Magazine. One of his favorite things about horror is the diversity of the people who bring it to life. Lauren has loved horror from a very young age and has been heavily involved in haunted attractions since high school doing sets, costumes, props and scare acting. PAT SNOW - TROPHY DESIGNER

Patrick Snow is an artist born in Fredericton. He studied Art Fundamentals and Animation at NBCC.

Some of his earliest happy memories are from when, as a child, his parents would drop him off at the library where he'd read books about hollywood movie monsters.

Patrick's fascination with horror would continue into Goosbumps, onwards to Dean Koontz and Stephen King, continuing into a current obsession with Junji Ito.

ASHLEY DALE & KAYLEIGH SAAD - events

Ashley Dale and Kayleigh Saad are alternative artists embracing the night, and all the things that go ‘bump’ within it.

Years of friendship and creating weird art together have finally culminated in the creation of Left Hand Girls, an Art House that goes against the right hand man. Using their combined experience and passion, they have begun focusing on creating content centered around hard topics, presenting their work through the lens of Horror Films.

As Left Hand Girls, the goal is also to create a safe space for fellow artists to make a ruckus, cause a stink, or however else they choose to rail against the system.

With their first short length film Ruff under their belts, they are excited to continue celebrating all things that lurk in the shadows, and they are very excited to see what Demonic Brilliance brings their way this year.
